05/12/08 Raw Results and Captures |
Screen Captures | Digitals | Video1 | Video2 | Video3 Backstage, Grisham brought in Randy Orton for an interview. Grisham asked Orton about facing Cena tonight and Hunter for the belt at Judgment Day. Orton rhetorically asked who was standing victorious at WrestleMania, and who was standing over Hunter's fallen body last week. That would be him. He said Hunter had a lucky night at Backlash. Orton said Age of Orton returns at Judgment Day. He transitioned to Cena, and said Cena will learn what Hunter already found out. He said he will prove he's not only the best athlete in WWE, but also the smartest.
JOHN CENA vs. RANDY ORTON The bell sounded and the fans chanted Cena's name. Orton immediately went for a headlock on the mat to ground Cena, but Cena came back with a fisherman suplex. Orton ducked a clothesline, then he nailed the fallaway backbreaker for a nearfall. Orton peered ominously around the ring while the fans engaged in a duel chant pro-Cena and pro-Orton. Orton tried to start the Orton stomp, but Cena grabbed his foot and dumped him over the top rope to the floor.» Read The Full Story..

Screen Captures | Digitals | Video1 | Video2 | Video3 Todd Grisham was in the locker room area to welcome in Randy Orton. Grisham asked Orton for comments on the end of Raw last week. Orton said Hunter would have people believe he had the match won, but that wasn't accurate. He said he doesn't necessarily agree with Regal's decision, but he respects Regal because of his position. Grisham then asked Orton about facing C.M. Punk tonight. He said Punk will see the cold, hard reality of facing him if he decides to cash in his MITB opportunity when the Age of Orton resumes at Judgment Day. A fine interview with a more serious presentation of Grisham.
RANDY ORTON vs. C.M. PUNK Orton took control in the first minute, then began the Orton stomp. He went for a leaping knee drop, but Punk rolled out of the way on the mat. Orton then avoided a springboard dive from Punk and made a quick cover for a near fall. Punk then came back with a kick combo before nailing the bulldog out of the corner for a near fall of his own.» Read The Full Story..

04/28/08 Raw Results and Captures |
Screen Captures | Digitals | Video1 | Video2 | Video3 | Video4 Triple H's music played and he walked out to celebrate his big win. He wore the belt onto the stage and brought it to the ring. He stepped into the ring at the seven minute mark of the show. Yes, the ring intro was very long. Triple H said he has an announcement to make. He hung his head and said he hates to bring people down, but "as of right now, the Age of Orton is officially dead!" He said eight months ago he returned from injury and didn't know if he could ever be the best again, but now he can say "The Game is back!" Before he could go any further, Randy Orton interrupted. Ross said, "You talk about audacity."
Orton made his way to the ring quickly and said, "No, no, you don't get a victory speech." He asked if he was actually proud of what he accomplished last night. Orton said the odds were stacked against him. Triple H said he was so confident last night he walked up to him before the match and boasted that he'd leave with the belt, but now he's claiming to be the victim. Orton said that he is a victim of his own success. He said he was so good, they couldn't put him against anyone one-on-one. Triple H said he liked the three and four person matches because it let him sit back and let someone else do all of the work before he'd slip in and win. Orton said it was because nobody was at his level, not even him. Orton said he'd prove in three short weeks at Judgment Day. He said he was using his rematch clause to get back was is his.» Read The Full Story..

Backlash 2008 Results and Captures |
Screen Captures | Digitals | Video1 | Video2 | Video3 | Video4 | Video5 Backstage,Todd Grisham welcomed in WWE champion Randy Orton to talk about some stuff. Grisham asked him about the three opponents tonight. Orton cut him off, per the Grisham interview formula, and said he's been through tremendous adversity, but they're still living in the Age of Orton. He vowed to leave as champion. Backstage again, Cena was talking to Jimmy Wang Yang about country music when Randy Orton walked over to spoil the fun. Yang took off, then Orton told Cena victory is not in Cena's future. Orton said Cena is going home disappointed, just like at Mania. Cena smirked, then said win, lose, or draw, tonight Orton is going home a broken man.» Read The Full Story..

Four-Tune Seekers |
If two’s company and three’s a crowd, then four, well, four can be downright fatal — especially when you combine the lethal elements of Randy Orton, Triple H, John Cena and JBL in a Fatal Four Way Title Match at Backlash. To make matters much more high-risk for the contenders, this contest will now be an Elimination Match, where the last man standing will be the new champion.
The lethal wheels were set in motion the moment Raw General Manager William Regal arranged a Backlash title bout pitting Orton, the reigning WWE Champion, against media maven JBL. Triple H interrupted the GM to make the case that he should be given a title opportunity as well. An intrigued Regal then set a Handicap Match between Triple H and Orton & JBL. The Game emerged with the victory and an opportunity at the WWE gold.» Read The Full Story..

04/21/08 Raw Results and Captures |
Screen Captures | Digitals | Video1 | Video2 | Video3 Orton walked out on stage and surveyed the arena. Time for the eight-man tag main event. Before that, he took the mic in center ring and said he's sick and tired of hearing people talk about leaving Backlash as new WWE champion. Orton said he doesn't have anything to say except No Mercy. Armageddon. Survivor Series. Royal Rumble. No Way Out. WrestleMania 24. Orton said they all featured successful championship victories. He said there is nothing that anyone can do about the fact that at Backlash, he will remain WWE champion. Crowd booed that.
JBL's music then interrupted and the white limo appeared, with JBL emerging from the passenger side. JBL slowly made his way to the ring and stared down Orton. They had a close encounter talking in the ring while Chavo Guerrero slowly came to the ring oblivious to the disagreement between JBL and Orton. Edge then came out as the fourth member of the team. He tried to play peacemaker between Orton and JBL before they cut to a break.» Read The Full Story..
